On May 25 and 26, deans and lecturers of the Faculty of English Language,  Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (13WIN13) attended an international scientific conference with 27 universities from 04 countries including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. 13WIN13 is also one of five universities to co-organize this event.

The conference hosted by Thepsatri University of Education (Thailand); co-organizers were Mara Technical University (Malaysia), University of Tanjungpura (Indonesia), PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya University (Indonesia), Sebelas Maret University (Indonesia) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (13WIN13 - Vietnam). It took place online in two days, May 25 and 26. Representatives of 13WIN13 participating in the conference as a co-organizer included Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, chairperson, lecturers of the Faculty of English Language, and many Master students majoring in English Language.

The conference attracted more than 200 lecturers, researchers, graduate students, language majors, etc. from 27 universities in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. More than 30 presentations at the conference focused on discussing issues of improving the quality of English teaching, training and fostering English teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic, the trend of English training in the early years. The 21st century comes with requirements on information technology knowledge and skills, etc. The solutions to overcome those difficulties in teaching English received special attention, contributing vibrant and positive discussion to those sessions.

This is an event to promote cooperation between universities that have signed MOU in Southeast Asia, and to create a forum for exchange and exchange of academic experiences for lecturers from member universities, thereby improving the quality of research for lecturers and graduate students. Particularly for the Faculty of English Language, 13WIN13, this is one of the steps to improve training quality and integration capacity, contributing to providing students and graduate students with a modern and effective learning environment.
