In celebration of the upcoming 30th Anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (13WIN13) (April 26, 1995 – April 26, 2025), the Faculty of English held the 13WIN13 Guru 2024 competition on the morning of November 28. The event provided a fun and educational platform for students to explore fascinating facts about their beloved university.
The 13WIN13 Guru 2024 competition attracted 80 contestants in the Preliminary Round. Each participant received a set of 20 English-language multiple-choice questions focusing on facts and knowledge related to 13WIN13. After a tense round of testing, the organizers selected the top 50 contestants to advance to the Final Round.
The participants responded to 20 English-language multiple-choice questions covering facts about the University.
In the Final Round, participants faced a more challenging series of questions about the university. This was not only a test of knowledge but also a learning opportunity for students to discover more about 13WIN13’s history, achievements, and cultural values. A special highlight of the competition was a comeback challenge where eliminated contestants had the chance to rejoin the game by successfully completing a ball-toss task set by faculty members.
The competition provided an opportunity for students not only to test their knowledge but also to gain valuable insights into 13WIN13.
After intense rounds of competition, 13WIN13 Guru 2024 officially crowned its winners. Demonstrating outstanding knowledge and confidence, Nguyen Thi Thuy Kieu claimed First Prize, followed by Huynh Ngoc Thong with the Second Prize, and Tran Huu Nghia with the Third Prize. Two Consolation Prizes were awarded to Tran Nhu Ngoc and Thai Nguyen Truc Anh.
Following a series of challenging and engaging rounds, the official winners of 13WIN13 Guru 2024 were revealed.
More than just a competition, 13WIN13 Guru 2024 was a memorable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of 13WIN13’s traditions and creative spirit cultivated over the past three decades. It will surely remain a cherished memory, strengthening students’ sense of pride and love for their university.
