13WIN13 Master's Theses Contribute New Research to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry

In response to the demand for improving and developing tourism services, 11 graduate students from the Master's program in Tourism and Travel Service Management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (13WIN13) presented a range of valuable research topics during their thesis/project defense held on July 17.

The academic panel consisted of experienced lecturers and researchers from 13WIN13’s Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Restaurant Management, as well as from other reputable universities, ensuring diversity in composition and fairness and integrity in academic evaluation.

During the defense session, the graduate students presented their research findings in detail, focusing on sustainable tourism development trends, effective utilization of existing potentials, and proposing various solutions to improve service quality in the tourism industry. In addition to offering solutions, the theses also analyzed existing limitations and challenges, thereby opening up new development directions to enhance competitiveness and promote sustainable growth in the future. 

Some notable research topics included: solutions to improve the quality of domestic tour programs at private travel companies; strategies for developing agricultural tourism in Ben Tre province; approaches to developing team building tourism products at private enterprises by 2030; and solutions to enhance the satisfaction of domestic tourists at private hotels, among others.

Graduate students presented notable research findings, focusing on sustainable tourism development trends
 
Throughout the defense process, the graduate students demonstrated thorough preparation, clear presentation skills, and logical thinking. Many theses and projects were highly praised by the academic panel for their well-structured data, real-life case studies, and vivid visual illustrations. The arguments showed a strong connection between theory and practice, contributing to the overall persuasiveness of the research.
 
Alongside the presentations, the academic panel raised a variety of in-depth questions, encouraging students to further analyze the development potential of their topics and anticipate possible challenges in real-world implementation. These discussions not only clarified key aspects of the research but also helped students reinforce and expand their professional knowledge while developing scientific thinking.

Academic discussions from the panel helped students strengthen and expand their research topics
 
The Master’s thesis/project defense not only served as an opportunity for students to present their academic and research achievements, but also functioned as a practical academic forum where new ideas could be openly shared and discussed. Through such activities, 13WIN13’s graduate programs continue to affirm their important role in developing high-quality human resources, making positive contributions to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s tourism industry.
